Synopsis:
Illusions is a story about love. The kind of love we chase, the kind we settle for, and the kind that sneaks up on us when we aren’t paying attention. It’s about truth and deception, not just between lovers, but the lies we tell ourselves to keep going. It’s about permanence, or the lack of it, and the terrifying realization that maybe nothing in life—no feeling, no relationship—ever really stays the same.At the center of it all are two couples: Denny and Sandra, Albert and Margaret. For more than fifty years, their lives have been tangled together in a web of deep friendship, quiet sacrifices, and unspoken desires. On the surface, their marriages seem solid, built on trust and devotion. But beneath that polished veneer, things are messier.
